Dragon Age Origins - Armour / Equipment ?

I havent been playing long and just wondered what equipment / Armour people prefer ?? Im playing as human warrior and are equipped with sword, shield and using shale armour.. Does it hinder your character too much using heavy armour ?? Id like the meaty armour you see the king ect wearing but does it have a really bad effect on fatigue, so much that is not worth the bother ?? Iv also took morrigan's outfit that gave her +2 magic and put her in studded leather.. is this wise ?? Also 2 handed weapons or 1 with shield ??Dragon Age Origins - Armour / Equipment ?
If you have high strength, then you can wear heavier armor without much of a fatigue penalty. Even then, fatigue only impacts the amount of willpower you have which isn't that important to warriors. Some of the better heavy armors are Juggernaut, Effort, Warden Commander, and Legion of the Dead.

Unless you make Morrigan an arcane warrior you should only equip her with robes. The robes give her bonuses to her magical abilities which is more important than protection. Two handed weapons do more damage, but you are very slow. Sword and shield make you hard to damage and is the best choice for a tank character.
